Cherry Squares

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Margarine or Butter

  • 1 ½ Cup Sugar

  • 4 Eggs

  • 2 Cups Flour

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

  • 1 teaspoon Lemon, Orange or Vanilla Extract

  • 1 can Cherry Pie Filling

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream together margarine/butter and sugar. Add eggs, lightly beat. Then add flour and extracts. Blend well. Spread into a greased and floured pan. Mark the batter into squares. Drop a tablespoon or so of cherry filling into each square. Bake for 45 minutes. Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

 

Makes 24 squares.
